Romania and the consumption of vegetables and fruits

Over time, international guidelines have clearly systematized the characteristics of a healthy diet to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases. Among the essential elements of such a diet we find the consumption of 200-300 grams of fruits / vegetables (vegetables) every day.
Statistical data published by EUROSTAT in 2014 revealed at least one worrying aspect: Romania ranks last among European Community countries in terms of consumption of vegetables and fruits, with only 35% of the population consuming such foods daily .
